Genting - City of Entertainment is proud to welcome back Kitaro live in Genting on the 7th of March 2009 at the Arena of Stars. Having held a concert in Genting at the end of 2007, Kitaro is back with his brand of instrumentalist, new age, folk and electronic music.
After starting his solo career in 1977, Kitaro became an international success with the release of his famous soundtrack for the NHK series "Silk Road" in 1980. With his music gaining worldwide recognition and his career gaining strength, he went on to win a Golden Globe in 1993 for his work on the Oliver Stone's epic "Heaven & Earth." His career reached its peak in 2000 when he won a Best Album Grammy in the New Age category. Among other notable compositions are The Light of Spirit, Heaven & Earth and Peace on Earth.
Inspired by nature, the modest Kitaro describes himself as 'only a messenger' of nature itself, which he said "some songs are like clouds, some are like water." Don't miss this chance to catch this godfather of new age music, only at Genting - City of Entertainment.
