Bolt 2008 Official Movie Trailer

Cast: John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Malcolm McDowell, Nick Swardson.

For super-dog BOLT (voice of JOHN TRAVOLTA), every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue, at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet, a cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (voice of MILEY CYRUS). Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions -- a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of SUSIE ESSMAN) and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (voice of MARK WALTON) -- Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.

Bolt is available for viewing in 3D, offered by GSC cinemas.
Available in GSC Mid Valley, GSC Pavillion KL and GSC 1 Utama only.

“This is following the success of the first ever real live 3-D version of “JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH” which was screened exclusively in GSC Mid Valley this July. As the leading cinema exhibitor, we need to continuously innovate and attract movie-goers in an engaging manner to catch movies over the big screen” said Mr Irving Chee, GSC General Manager.

This move will pave the way for more 3-D movies available in digital format tentatively slated to be released next year like Disney’s “Jonas Brothers” (April), Dreamworks Animation’s “Monsters Vs Aliens” (May), “Ice Age 3”( July 2009) and life-action 3-D movie “G-Force” (July).

To end 2009 on a high note, movie-goers can look forward to catch the 3-D version of “Avatar” (Dec 2009),Disney’s “Up”(Dec 2009) and “A Christmas Carol”. Disney also plans to re-release “Toy Story” (Nov 2009) and “Toy Story 2” (Feb 2010) and “Toy Story 3” (June 2010) in 3-D digital format.

“Based on the response to the 3-D “Bolt” screenings, GSC is looking to extend this facility beyond Klang Valley cinemas – to the north in Penang”, he added. Tickets for the 3-D version which includes usage of 3-D glasses will be priced as follows :

GSC Mid Valley : Hall 4 (275 seats)
(RM17- adult, RM11 -children for a normal seat, twins seats - RM19 (adult).

GSC Pavilion KL : Hall 12 ( 207 seats)
(RM18-adult, RM12 -children for a normal seat, twins seats – RM20 (adult).

GSC 1 Utama : Hall 6 (178 seats)
(RM16-adult, RM 11-children for a normal seat, twins seats – RM 18 (adult).

The 2-D version of “BOLT” will also be available at the prevailing ticket pricing in GSC cinemas nationwide from Dec 4 onwards There will be a dedicated queue for the 3-D movie in the selected GSC cinemas. Log on to http://www.gsc.com.my for the details and movie trailers (2-D version).

GSC’s 3-D in digital format offering will feature the Dolby Digital Cinema System which features outstanding Dolby audio quality and reliability. With the Dolby 3-D Digital Cinema, movie goers will be engaged in a much richer and compelling manner in terms of realism. The events on-screen will be closer to real life i.e. larger than life. The experience will be more vivid and enthralling.

The Dolby 3-D Digital cinema projects alternating full-colour images from the left eye and right eye that are not quite identical with respect to their primary colour frequencies.
Movie audiences with the passive glasses with filtering lenses that are précisely tuned to these differences, thereby preventing each eye from seeing the images intended from the other eye. The digital projection would eliminate the usual “scratches” on screen with the wear and tear for film projection. The 3-D digital is an advance technology from the existing IMAX 3-D version in Malaysia which happens to be on analog format as it is on film.
